News >Access Celebrates Teacher Day!

Mar 28,2022
Teach For Lebanon celebrated Teacher’s Day in Beirut on March 9th, 2022, with the goal of keeping Access Program teachers motivated and in excellent mental health in the midst of Lebanon's acute socio-economic and financial crisis.

They first watched a recorded, heart-warming welcome note by Kristina Hayden, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut. Then an address by Edith Bitar, Cultural Affairs Assistant, Public Diplomacy, at the Embassy, who attended the event, uplifted their sense of purpose further. TFL CEO Salyne El Samarany followed with a note of high recognition and appreciation.

Excited by the opportunity to reunite together in person, Access teachers from all parts of Lebanon attended this event designed to celebrate them. At the core of the event, a 90-minute yoga session led by a professional coach and former Communication Manager at TFL Agnès Khorassandjian, was followed by lunch.

Small and larger group discussions at various intervals clearly represented the instructors' joy and excitement about the Access Program in terms of their students' extraordinary success and their own palpable personal development.
