News >The Access 16 Program Begins!

Dec 07,2022

TFL proudly announces the start of the Access 16 program!

As of the beginning of November 2022, the classes of the English Access Microscholarship Program’s Cohort 16 which is funded by the Public Affairs Section at the US Embassy in Beirut were launched in 25 public high schools distributed around Lebanon: 2 high schools in Beirut, 6 in North Lebanon, 6 in the Beqaa, 6 in the South, and 5 in Mount Lebanon. The high schools were chosen in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE), and with the support of the U.S. Embassy.

For the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak and its aftermath of continued online learning, Access instruction has reverted to in-presence. The Access Cohort 16’s teachers and 500 students are very excited to attend the classes in person, and they are extremely driven to engage in all of the program's sessions and activities.

The 500 Access students received their books sourced from National Geographic Learning during the first session of the program and will receive brand-new tablets which will help them engage in activities geared to improve both their technological literacy and overall learning exposure.

Access students will also receive stationery kits early in December 2022. The kits contain different stationery items that students will need to achieve the program's requirements.

We wish all students and teachers all the best in their new and exciting educational journey!
